Now we have the hugely amusing spectacle of Donald Trump sending a letter to the Republican National Committee and its campaign subsidiaries, ordering them to cease and desist using his name for their fundraising. This is a hoot.
Of course, other evidence suggests that Trump just wants to make sure that he is the only beneficiary of any fundraising that uses his name or likeness. This is typical of Trump’s enormous selfishness and self centeredness.
Okay, I’m not using his name to raise funds, although my email is wbtphdjd@gmail.com, if you want to send me some money via Google Pay, but I would love to have Trump sue me. It would be a hoot.
Of course, Trump has a bad habit of threatening entirely frivolous, ridiculous law suits. Perhaps mostly famously, he finally withdrew a suit against Bill Maher, seeking a contribution to a charity Maher allegedly promised to make if Trump could prove that he is not the child of an orangutan. At the time, Trump’s spokesmodel, Michael Cohen (!) promised to refile the idiotic suit at a later date. Apparently, to no one’s surprise, that has not happened. That Cohen is now in prison is not the only reason.
Please, Donnie boy, sue me. I beg you.
